This role supports a dynamic Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) engineering maintenance team tasked with essential infrastructure repairs and improvements for the Environment Agency. Key Responsibilities: Apply your electrical engineering expertise to solve technical challenges and enhance service delivery. Work autonomously under the guidance of the department manager to meet project timelines while ensuring quality and budgetary adherence. Manage assigned projects, conducting regular reviews to monitor performance and providing accurate budget forecasts. Share pertinent project information promptly within the organisation. Deliver project engineering insight to ensure compliance with engineering standards and best practices. Conduct thorough vehicle surveys to aid in developing project designs or work plans. Participate in production planning meetings, offering valuable engineering input. Perform additional tasks as required and authorised by management. Requirements:To thrive in this role, candidates should possess: Previous experience as an Electrical Contracts Engineer (or equivalent), overseeing various projects. An HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering. Experience with mechanical and hydraulic systems in project maintenance. Familiarity with moving structures, pumps, SCADA systems, and PLCs. Relevant training certificates (SMSTS or SSSTS, Confined Space, First Aid at Work). A full British driving license. Benefits: Competitive salary, to be negotiated based on experience.
