Job Description
We're looking for an Infrastructure Security Lead to join us in either London or Hove!
You'll play a crucial role in safeguarding the business through providing assurance of security capabilities related to infrastructure security - including firewalls, remote access, network intrusion (WAF, IDF/IPS) and network access control (NAC).
What you'll be doing:
* Managing the day-to-day Security Product assurance processes operated by the team and third-party providers in the areas of:
o Network security (firewall management, remote access, web filtering, NAC, network intrusion detection & WAF)
o Secure build management - reviewing configurations for and existing systems and infrastructure, owning the development of secure build standards and collaborating with stakeholders
o Managing day-to-day team workflow including service requests, approvals, incidents, associated Service Level Agreements and configuration reviews
* Providing oversight and constructively challenging effectively when security events arise, and risks are raised, to help ensure risks are remediated effectively
* Overseeing vendors responsible for configuration and management of infrastructure security capabilities including endpoint protection, and ensuring they meet Service Level Agreements
* Tracking and reporting on risk metrics and remediation activity for network security, information protection and helping ensure that senior stakeholders within Group IT and business divisions are aware of key vulnerabilities and risks within the organisation
* Providing an escalation point for infrastructure security events and coordinating with the security operations team and incident management personnel to ensure that any incidents are managed in a timely and effective manner
* Leading conversations and collaborating across the business on current and new technologies which can help the organisation be a harder cyber target
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
* Prior experience relevant to this role covering Firewall assurance, network security and email security preferably using relevant security frameworks and tooling
* An awareness of new and emerging threats with an ability to build in security configuration and assurance around this knowledge
* A good understanding of networks and network protocols and the risk posed by related security vulnerabilities or poor configuration
* Experience or familiarity with security and security applications in Microsoft Cloud and endpoint security applications would be great
* Certifications and/or accreditations relevant to this position such as relating to firewalls, web filtering, e-mail and web security etc) would be a a huge plus!
