Your role and responsibilities We are a specialist service working across the full range of statutory intervention for Children and Young People with disabilities and play a key role in supporting and advising other teams regarding disability related issues. As a Senior Social Worker in our team, you will: work within a small team, working alongside disabled children and young people from age 0-18 and their families to support and promote sustained change build meaningful relationships with children and young people with disabilities and promote their voice within assessments and care planning operate and develop practice using the Suffolk Signs Of Safety and Wellbeing model develop practice knowledge regarding safeguarding and promoting the needs of vulnerable disabled children develop practice knowledge regarding young people transitioning through to adulthood form part of the wider county team by attending team and county meetings and peer group supervision work within a large established network of partner agencies to create multiagency plans to support and safeguard children with disabilities be joining an experienced team of practitioners who are invested in this area of work and work hard to support each other across the county experience regular structured supervision as well as opportunities for group learning and peer supervision.
