Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Real Estate, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
* 5 years of experience in program management.
* Experience with one or more of the following: land acquisition, site selection for technology, industrial-scale real estate projects, or real estate evaluation and development.
* Experience managing agreement negotiations and multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other real estate analysis tools.
* Knowledge of the regulatory environment for real estate development in the UK.
* Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fluid environment.
* Ability to build consensus and influence stakeholders.
* Ability to travel within the UK as needed.
About the Job:
As a Land Program Manager, you will play a role in securing and pre-positioning real estate for Google's data centers across the Nordics and Benelux. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of land acquisition and pre-development projects from initial site identification and analysis to negotiation and closing. You will work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, legal, finance, and community engagement, to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Responsibilities:
* Drive the acquisition and pre-development of land across the United Kingdom portfolio, ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery while upholding exceptional quality standards. Cultivate and manage robust relationships with stakeholders, including landowners, regulatory bodies, and community organizations.
* Conduct thorough analysis, negotiate agreements, and manage all aspects of real estate transactions.
* Identify and evaluate potential data center sites, considering factors such as infrastructure availability, regulatory environment, and community impact.
* Develop and implement best practices for land acquisition and pre-development, proactively identify and mitigate associated risks.
* Provide regular updates on project status and performance to stakeholders.
