Northgate Practice are looking for a GP to cover maternity leave on a 12 month contract. The contract will have the potential to be extended past the 12 months. We are looking for 6-8 sessions per week which is negotiable. The practice will take applications from any newly qualified GP's available to start in April 2025. Main duties of the job
Seeing patients face to face, telephone consultations, home visits, referrals and clinical peer review, QOF & Primary Care Offer work, duty GP day, prescription requests and lab reports.

Northgate Practice is a long-established 10,000+ patient, innovative, teaching General Practice, providing undergraduate and postgraduate training. It is situated in a modern, purpose-built, multi-disciplinary Health Centre in Aldridge on the South East Side of Walsall bordering Sutton Coldfield. The Health Centre offers a full range of services including hosting physiotherapy, chiropractic, mental health team, dental practice, ultrasound clinics, etc.
Northgate Practice consists of 5 GP partners who have over 40 years of combined GP experience, covering a wide range of specialties. The partners are committed to supporting all staff employed by the practice. They have invested in an excellent nursing team, experienced administration team, and a pharmacy technician. Also offering all enhanced services including AQP contracts for anti-coagulation, extended minor surgery, and a wide range of family planning services. The practice works closely in collaboration with other local practices and is the lead for East 2 PCN. Northgate Practice has an excellent record of QOF achievement and is rated CQC 'Good'.
We have a low GP staff turnover and value all members of staff.
Job responsibilities
To provide care and support to Northgate Practice patients. Seeing patients face to face whilst also carrying out telephone consultations. Duty GP at least 1 day per week. Dealing with urgent queries, prescription requests, and lab reports. Working on allocated QOF areas and also Primary Care Offer work. Currently leading the East 2 PCN holding COVID vaccine clinics in surgery. Referrals and clinical peer review.
