Reimagine the possibilities Your role and responsibilities We're seeking passionate professionals to help transform young lives through our innovative rehabilitation programs. You'll deliver vital support services and intervention programs that make a real impact, working directly with young people and their families to prevent youth offending and promote positive change. As part of our supportive team, you'll engage with victims of youth offences, provide court support services including weekends and bank holidays (when trained and as required), and be at the heart of our community safety initiatives. The team The Suffolk Youth Justice Service (SYJS) works with children and young people who are in, or on the edge of the Youth Justice System. SYJS also works with parents and carers and the victims of youth crime. SYJS is a multi-agency partnership hosted by Suffolk County Council. The aim is to prevent offending by children and young people and protect the public from the harm caused by their offending. At the same time, the service works to ensure the safety and wellbeing of these children and young people to enhance their life aspirations and opportunities. Our service operates 7 days a week, including evenings until 9pm, including home visiting to meet national standards and legislative requirements. You will be expected to occasionally work evenings and weekends for which you be entitled to flexi time or time off in Lieu (TOIL). In addition, you will be expected to participate in a Saturday rota for courts for which you will receive additional payment (or TOIL, if preferred).
