Role Summary The Supply Planning Team lead is responsible for managing the supply planning team and ensuring that material purchasing and planning is appropriately delivered to support the Autolus manufacturing sites. He/she will ensure adequate and cost-effective provision of materials for clinical and commercial manufacturing are available for the sites. The role is also responsible for ensuring that all elements of materials management are linked to the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process and for providing oversight of materials management, costs and supply risks to the business. The role manages and maintains effective relationships with Autolus suppliers and service providers and will act as a key subject matter expert for the implementation and ongoing performance of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system into Autolus. Key Responsibilities Leads the supply planners in all materials requirements planning (MRP) processes to assure suitable stock levels for all clinical and commercial manufacturing are available; additionally provides support as required for the planning and support for materials required for Process Development Establishes and maintains relationships with all Tier 3 suppliers and service providers; resolves any conflicts or issues with suppliers effectively, engaging other departments as required Provides SME input into the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process for Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers within the Autolus supply chain as required Ensures all materials sourcing and inventory policies are current, compliant with regulatory expectations and reflective of best industry practice Supports the Supply planning manager in managing the materials budget, tracks spend on monthly basis and escalates discrepancies/issues to line management Leads the raw materials inputs into the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process. Partners with Procurement, Quality and other stakeholders to facilitate the sourcing and onboarding of new materials and suppliers Supports the Supply planning manager in ensuring the team are audit ready, ahead of any future regulatory inspections. Supports Operational Excellence (OpEx) initiatives and projects as required. Generates, reviews and approves cGMP and/or safety documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required Supports the supply planning manager to create a high-performing team that emphasizes strengths-based execution, accountability, open communication, people development and continuous improvement. Builds and sustains employee engagement by creating an environment where individuals and teams can excel. Establishes individual goals and objectives in alignment with corporate goals and priorities.
