The Role A Claims Technician plays a key role in guiding customers through their insurance claim journey, ensuring they are supported at every stage. They clearly explain outcomes based on the customer’s policy, ensuring expectations are set and met from the very first interaction. In addition to managing customer service tasks, they provide timely updates, discuss claim outcomes, and offer advice on next steps. Their goal is to make the process as smooth and transparent as possible, while maintaining clear and consistent communication throughout. Key Responsibilities: Customer Care & Claims Handling Maintain clear records on claims of inbound/outbound correspondence with all parties involved in the claim, ensuring notes are kept up to date and that all correspondence is added to the file. Ensure claims are progressed in line with our contractual client Service Level Agreements through efficient scheduling and proactive claim management. Deliver an excellent standard of service and care to both our clients and customers, communicating with them regularly regarding the status of the claim, and building a good rapport. Identify potential risks and issues that may impact claim journey and proactively plan to prevent these. Effectively address and resolve dissatisfaction if it arises, or promptly escalate it to the Customer Relations Team. Tailor our service to CRAS customers wherever possible, maintaining a flexible and caring approach.
