Job Advert
Are you well organised and can manage your own workload confidently? Do you have experience in communication and feel confident working with others? If this sounds like you and you have great IT and admin skills, we may just have the role for you. The Mencap Community and Events Team has an exciting opportunity for a Community Fundraising Assistant to join us on a full time (37.5 hours per week) permanent basis. This role is based from our London office, but we know flexibility is key to a well-balanced work life. We would love to see you in our office on a Tuesday and Thursday. There may be occasions when we would like you to be involved with events outside of the working week, for example, bucket collections and attending community events at peak times. We are an equitable, diverse and inclusive organisation and we particularly welcome and encourage disabled applicants and those from the Black and Asian communities to apply for the role as they are under-represented within the workforce.
What will you do as a Community Fundraising Assistant?
* You will work closely with the Community Fundraising Managers to assist with various community campaigns, events, and activities.
* You will provide support for stewardship, conducting research and administrative tasks, managing the team inbox, and assisting with campaign recruitment and delivery.
* You will support the Community Fundraising Managers by engaging with existing and new regional supporters including individuals, groups, associations, local corporates, and schools while monitoring the current portfolio of Mencap owned products.
