Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Newmarket, Suffolk
Hours: Rotational shift pattern as follows:
Week 1: 6:00am – 2pm Monday to Friday
Week 2: 2pm to 22:30 Monday to Thursday and 2pm to 8pm Friday
Salary: £40,000 per annum (Increasing to £43,000 after probation period)
Benefits: 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays- increasing to 24 days after 3 years service and a further increase after 5 and 10 years service, production bonus scheme up to 6% achievable and enrolment into company nest pension scheme.

Skills/Experience Required:
1. Carry out planned preventative maintenance and repairs on machinery to ensure continuous operation.
2. Conduct hands-on repairs, actively participating in daily maintenance activities.
3. Apply fitting and assembly skills, including the use of hand tools and marking out.
4. Perform welding, fabrication, brazing, soldering, and other jointing processes.
5. Undertake sheet metalwork tasks, such as shearing and folding.
6. Conduct reactive maintenance as required, addressing breakdowns and unplanned stoppages.
7. Handle general building maintenance as necessary.
8. Liaise with machine operators to troubleshoot, fit parts, and resolve issues.
9. Work under the direction of the maintenance manager and facilities director to follow the preventative maintenance schedule.
10. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, upholding good housekeeping standards.
11. Adhere to Health and Safety policies and guidelines.
12. Comply with environmental and quality standards in line with BRC and ISO accreditations.
Skills/Experience required:
1. Qualification as an Electric Maintenance Engineer.
2. 18th Edition Electrical Installations qualification (advantageous).
3. Experience with networked PC systems and 3-phase power supplies.
4. Proficiency in fitting and assembly, welding, and fabrication.
5. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
6. Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and commitment to adhering to them.
7. Familiarity with BRC / ISO standards is a plus.
