We are now recruiting for a People Workstream Lead (Band 8C), a unique opportunity to lead workforce planning and transformation for one of the most exciting healthcare redevelopment projects in the country.
About the Role:
As the People Workstream Lead, you will be responsible for driving workforce strategy and organisational design in the delivery of the £900M Hinchingbrooke Hospital redevelopment. You'll be leading workforce planning, modelling, and recruitment efforts, while ensuring alignment with Hospital 2.0 and NHS sustainability targets. This is a pivotal role in ensuring operational readiness for the new hospital, focusing on staff transitions, change management, and strategic people initiatives that will shape the future of healthcare delivery.
Minimum Requirements:
To apply for this role, you must have a master's degree or equivalent experience, along with proven managerial and leadership experience at a senior level within the NHS. Candidates should demonstrate a strong track record in leadership, performance improvement, and driving organisational change. Highly developed interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills are essential, alongside a commitment to promoting equality in opportunity, employment, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Workforce Strategy: Lead workforce planning and model future workforce needs to ensure the success of the new hospital.
2. Transformation Leadership: Develop the Target Operating Model, driving change management efforts and ensuring readiness for operational transition.
3. Recruitment and Retention: Manage recruitment efforts for specialised healthcare professionals, ensuring the right talent is in place for the future.
4. Learning & Development: Create a holistic L&D strategy, supporting skill enhancement and workforce experience.
5. Stakeholder Engagement: Align workforce strategies with the wider project plan, working closely with clinical leads and programme colleagues.
