Ecologist/Senior Ecologist
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and friendly team, and one of the most successful independent ecological consultancies in the UK.
We are looking for experienced candidates, particularly those with specialist interests in bats (including tree climbers), badgers, water voles, holders of mitigation licenses, botanists, and strong project managers.
You will have the opportunity to work on projects across heritage, renewable energy, residential, leisure, and minerals.
The successful candidate will report to the Newcastle office and will ideally be expected in the office once a week.
To be considered, candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of experience, at least one protected species license, be a member of CIEEM (or similar), and reside within a 2-hour radius to ensure occasional work from Newcastle (once a week is preferred, but once every two weeks could be considered).
What we are looking for:
* Broad ecological skill set and, ideally, one or more protected species licenses.
* Knowledge of wildlife policy and legislation.
* Confidence in written and verbal communication.
* Effective project management and client liaison skills.
* The ability to identify, understand, and resolve ecological issues.
* A good BSc and/or MSc in a relevant subject.
* A full driving license and access to your own transport.
