The People Team are looking to strengthen and enhance the team by appointing a highly motivated individual who is committed to delivering a high-quality service.
This is a hybrid role working in both our operational People Team in an advisory capacity and our Workforce Team so the successful candidate will need to be proficient in the use of ESR. Alternatively, we are open to considering two part-time candidates. You will find attached to this vacancy two job descriptions that covers the aspects of the two roles. Please state in your supporting statement which is your preference.
Working within a busy team, this is a demanding role which requires enthusiasm, resilience, drive and effective organisational skills to ensure tight deadlines are met and People Team quality standards are maintained.
You will need to be able to work autonomously as required, and have the credibility and confidence to deal with a range of staff across the organisation, including experience of working with trade union and staff representatives.
You should possess strong, generalist HR experience, a business focus and a proven ability to provide a professional HR service in the delivery of advice and support including absence and sickness management, employee relations activity including disciplinary and grievance processes, TUPE, job evaluation, interpretation of policy and procedure and general HR queries. You will also be required to support change management; a working knowledge of current employment legislation is therefore essential.
You must have experience of collating and analysing statistical information, ESR, Expenses and the E-Rostering Systems as you will have responsibility for these and will be one of the ‘go-to’ people for technical ESR queries, identifying the root cause of any errors and providing solutions.
You should be educated to degree level (or equivalent) with recent human resources experience and be able to demonstrate evidence of Continuous Professional Development e.g. MCIPD.
This role provides the opportunity for you to deliver the full range of HR activity and develop your technical and professional skills within a fast paced NHS organisation.
