Production Planner/Controller – HGV
Location: Thetford
Salary: Circa £28,000 (depending on experience)
Job Description:
This full-time role in Thetford is pivotal to our operations, demanding a candidate with exceptional attention to detail, resilience, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment. Ideally, applicants should have a background in engineering or manufacturing, with ex-forces candidates strongly encouraged to apply.
Reporting to: Production Manager
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate closely with the Production Manager, Slidebed Planner/Controller, and manufacturing supervisors to ensure the timely and efficient production of our heavy range of products.
2. Generate production orders for in-house manufactured items and monitor project progress and issues at monthly production meetings.
3. Work with the IT Manager to enhance the functionality of LN software for planning purposes.
4. Assess priorities in coordination with the Production Manager and Slidebed Planner, considering resources and sub-contractors.
5. Address material supply problems within production departments, conducting thorough research and ensuring effective resolution for the future.
6. Provide support to the Production Manager in various production planning tasks as required.
Key Skills:
1. Ability to quickly grasp and apply technical information.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and preferably experience with MRP software such as LN (training will be provided).
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Methodical and systematic approach to tasks, with keen attention to detail.
5. Tenacity and enthusiasm to excel in a challenging and varied role.
6. Previous experience in an engineering manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
