In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Warehouse. You will manage a team of warehouse staff, ensuring that they work efficiently and effectively to meet our customers’ needs.
The working days and hours for this role will be Monday to Friday 0700-1700hrs
THE SALARY
* Up to £38,000 dependent on experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for the management of all warehouse team leaders and operatives.
* Motivating, organizing, and encouraging teamwork to ensure KPI’s/Productivity targets are met or exceeded.
* Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.
* Ensure goods are picked, loaded, or unloaded and deadlines are met.
* Manage the lifting of goods of various sizes and weights.
* Loading and unloading vehicles of products and checking inbound and outbound goods.
* Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures.
* Review and develop processes in the warehouse to improve efficiency.
* Produce reports and statistics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
* Ensure good levels of communication between the warehouse, operation, and office.
* Respond to and deal with any issues, or escalate if necessary in a timely manner.
* Ensure agency costs are kept to a minimum and are cost-effective.
* Ensure planned maintenance of all warehouse equipment and MHE is kept up to date.
* Maintain high standards of health & safety, hygiene, and security.
* Ensure customer and warehouse SOPs are met and amended as necessary.
* Maintain sufficient levels of consumables.
* Ensure all invoicing is kept up to date.
* Ensure a high standard of cleanliness in the warehouse and yard at all times.
* Deal with any HR-related matters with the warehouse staff.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
* Qualifications: A Level 2 in English & Maths desirable but not essential.
* Experience: Experience of working as a Warehouse Manager within a logistics background. Strong IT skills and FLT licence are essential.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
* Leadership: Ability to lead and manage your team, build excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, be organized, and handle difficult situations.
* People & Self Development: Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks, and a great team motivator!
