There will be travel to UK sites so the ability to travel is a necessity.
Part of the role will be strategically identifying cost-saving opportunities and contribute to overall business growth, requiring in-depth knowledge of construction contracts, health & safety, industry practices, strong analytical and leadership skills.
What will the role involve: Lead and mentor a team of commercial professionals including Quantity Surveyors, Buyers, and Commercial Managers.
Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with project goals.
Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the commercial team.
Analyse financial performance on projects, identifying areas for cost optimization.
Monitor and control cost variations, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management.
Negotiate and administer construction contracts with clients and subcontractors.
Manage contract variations and claims, ensuring fair and accurate pricing.
Develop pricing strategies and proposals for potential projects.
Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
