SEN Support Worker Location: Christchurch Contract Type: Part/Full Time Rates: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate GSL Education are looking for a pro-active, committed and resilient SEN Support Worker who has prior experience working with pupils with complex needs, including providing personal care where needed, to join a fantastic school in Christchurch. If you are passionate about providing SEN support and you have a good understanding of complex b ehaviours, this could be the perfect opportunity for you Responsibilities of a SEN Support Worker : Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with autism, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs. Assist with the implementation of personalised learning plans and strategies. Promote the development of social skills, independence, and confidence in students. Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to ensure consistent support. Create a safe and inclusive environment where students can thrive academically and emotionally. Help manage behaviour effectively, using de-escalation techniques when needed. Requirements of a SEN Support Worker : Previous experience working with individuals with autism or other additional needs (preferred). A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to supporting children and young people. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and colleagues.
