We currently have a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our dedicated Design Engineering team, responsible for controlling multiple product categories associated with Design and the introduction of new products. This pivotal role requires the job holder to own the product categories in full and be the main source of knowledge associated with each product cycle.
The key responsibilities include:
* Build knowledge and understand the market sector within designated product categories whilst researching competitors.
* Compile competitive analysis to support the whole project, UK, Europe and USA.
* Responsible for the design brief once agreed to ensure the brief is followed and adhered to.
* Ensure project gateways are adhered to and updated in line with ISO standards providing weekly project updates delivered to senior management.
* Manage and monitor project dates with internal and external suppliers.
* In charge of Bills of Materials (BOMs) supplying production and marketing with relevant information.
* Provide support in the setting of policies and product introduction.
* Train and introduce to sales teams.
* Product sector gate keep for the life of the product.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* Project management experience, preferable within furniture industry.
* Background in manufacturing and/or product development.
* Able to multitask and deliver on product category projects simultaneously, to agreed deadlines.
* Ability to identify and mitigate risk and challenges.
* Strong organisation and planning skills with a high attention to detail.
* Effective communicator with clients, stakeholders and team members.
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
* Proficient user of MS Office (particularly Excel).
