We are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing consultancy that specialises in Microsoft 365 and Workplace Management solutions, with a global footprint spanning the UK, South America, and Asia. They’re known for delivering high-impact results through a collaborative, agile approach and a strong technical team.
They are now looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 Consultant with strong technical capabilities, excellent documentation skills, and a confident, customer-facing manner.
About the Role
This is a fully remote position offering a broad remit across Microsoft 365 and adjacent infrastructure technologies. You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering client-facing consultancy, technical implementation, and pre-sales input.
You will:
* Act as the technical lead in client meetings, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
* Assess existing (on-prem or legacy) environments and plan migration to Microsoft 365
* Configure and optimise Microsoft 365 services, ensuring security, productivity, and user experience are prioritised
* Carry out detailed technical gap analysis and produce clear, professional documentation
* Support the pre-sales process by providing technical input, proposals, and high-level designs
* Deliver high-quality documentation, including low-level designs, diagrams, and implementation plans
* Work within formal change management processes, preparing CAB-ready documentation and risk assessments
* Assist with technical project planning, milestone definition, and delivery governance
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven background working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) Hands-on experience across a wide range of Microsoft 365 services, including:
* Azure Active Directory / Entra ID
* Intune / Endpoint Manager – device compliance, configuration profiles, app deployment
* Exchange Online – mail flow, hybrid configurations, security & compliance
* SharePoint Online & OneDrive for Business – site configuration, permissions, content migration
* Microsoft Teams – policy creation, voice integration, Teams lifecycle management
* Power Platform exposure (Power Automate, Power Apps – desirable but not essential)
* Security and Compliance within M365, including:
* Microsoft Defender for Endpoint / Office 365
* Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
* Sensitivity Labels
* Conditional Access
* Microsoft Purview (Information Protection, Compliance Manager)
Infrastructure knowledge, such as:
* Windows Server, AD DS, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
* VDI and Virtualisation (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V)
* Firewalls and threat protection tools
* Storage and backup solutions
* Strong scripting or automation with PowerShell
* Experience working with migration tooling (e.g. Quest, BitTitan, ShareGate, native Microsoft tools)
* Excellent documentation and communication skills – especially with PowerPoint, Visio, and Word
Nice to Have
* Microsoft certifications (e.g. MS-100, MS-101, AZ-104, MD-102)
* Experience with Cloud App Security / Defender for Cloud Apps
* Application packaging and deployment knowledge
* Knowledge of enterprise mobility solutions
* Experience working in regulated environments (e.g. finance, healthcare)
