At our Eminox site, which designs and manufactures exhaust after-treatment systems, reducing emissions from heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, we now seek a Quality Engineer – Customer Concerns. This is a customer-focused role to ensure that we get things right for our customers.
You will understand manufacturing processes from steel, automotive manufacturers, or aerospace engineering.
Organised and systematic, you will work through the processes and update customers on outcomes step by step.
Working closely with manufacturing areas and the wider quality department to ensure that we are doing what we say we would.
Hours: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm – 3:30 pm finish Friday – onsite parking.
We have a flexible working pattern; the above are the core hours.
Responsibilities:
* Liaise with customers to address and resolve quality concerns from external customers.
* Lead investigations using the 8D methodology to solve customer issues.
* Ensure customer issues are resolved within defined timelines.
* Maintain up-to-date quality records and documentation.
* Support and facilitate actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
* Travel to customer sites as needed to resolve concerns.
* Assist during customer visits and audits.
* Perform necessary measurement tasks.
* Conduct internal manufacturing and system audits.
* Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to reduce quality costs.
About You:
* A quality engineering background ideally spent with engineering, steel products, manufacturing, automotive, and/or aerospace industries.
* If from an automotive background, an understanding of PPAP processes and IATF would ideally be advantageous.
* Experience of quality control systems and following processes.
* Customer-focused and can communicate effective solutions to customers both verbally and in writing.
* Audit experience would be advantageous.
