The Heart of Kent Hospice seeks a Digital Marketing Volunteer to support in promoting the Hospice’s work through our website and social media channels.
Main duties
* Reporting admin - Helping log weekly social media stats for reports and highlighting the social media content that performed best.
* Website monitoring - Be an extra pair of eyes on our website, checking that everything is up to date and working as it should be.
* Social media admin
* Reply to comments, direct messages and other notifications from social media accounts.
* Monitoring hashtags and mentions of the Hospice and flagging content to digital team for further exploration.
* Search social media platforms for appropriate accounts to follow.
* Keeping an eye on other social media profiles and flagging any new trends or ideas you think the Digital Team might be interested in.
* Events and listings - Help us list our events on third party local event listing pages and community groups. Check our Facebook event pages for engagement and interact where needed.
Communication:
· Support other members of the staff and volunteer teams by liaising, cooperating and communicating as and when required.
Training and development:
· Attend all appropriate statutory and mandatory training and undertake training and development as identified through individual supportive discussions with the line manager.
Health and safety:
* To take reasonable care of the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by what you do while at the Hospice and to cooperate in the implementation of the Hospice’s Health and Safety Policy.
General:
* To be aware of and comply with all Hospice and Statutory Policies and Procedures as appropriate.
* To work as a member of the Hospice team, to foster the team’s caring mission and to have commitment to the cause of helping patients and their families/carers.
* At all times to behave in a manner befitting the role and the professional dignity of the Hospice and ensure that the Hospice is positively represented to the public and other stakeholders.
* To maintain an appropriate standard of confidentiality. Any disclosure of confidential information (including personal information kept on computer or other media) made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offence.
* This role is subject to a Standard DBS check.
Essential skills:
* Confident in using social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X and LinkedIn.
* A good understanding of what a successful social media profile looks like.
* Attention to detail with a great eye for copy and spotting typos or loading errors on website pages.
