As a Consultant, you will lead a team and provide senior expertise in the assessment and treatment of adults over age 65 years presenting cognitive impairment and comorbid conditions. You will work with colleagues from other professional disciplines to provide a tailored multidisciplinary package of assessment and treatment.
Your role will include holding RC responsibility for patients admitted to the unit and providing medical leadership to the MDT. This position offers an excellent opportunity to improve pathways for patients within the service.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Registration with the GMC (or eligible to become registered) with a licence to practice
* Included on GMC Specialist Register or eligible for inclusion within six months of CCT
* Approved Clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
* Possess a CCT or (equivalence) in old age Psychiatry
* Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field
* Experience of multi-disciplinary team working
* Excellent teaching skills
* Established record of clinical leadership
* Experience in service management or development

* Maturity, openness, and flexibility
