Quality Engineer
Location: Towcester (Full time onsite)
Salary: £45000 - £50000 DOE plus excellent benefits including 25 holidays plus bank holidays, Healthcare, Bonus, Pension, Death benefit and Income protection.
Hours: Job Hours (35 Hour Week):
1. Monday - Thursday: 8am-4pm
2. Friday: 8am-1pm
The job:
Establishing and maintaining quality systems and supporting the manufacturing department via creating, implementing, actioning resolutions from manufacturing/ customer borne quality issues.
The responsibilities of the job:
1. Establishing, maintaining and auditing our systems based on ISO9001:2015 / ISO 14001:2015 / ISO 45001 requirements, bi-annually.
2. Support Line managers to formulate action plans arising from all internal audits with review to ensure compliance is met.
3. Supporting the Quality Returns department processing and acting as a customer liaison for onsite visits.
4. FAI / PPAP documentation creation when requested.
5. Leading product quality in the production department, which would include containment, investigations, correction, implementation and validation of corrective actions via 8D reporting.
6. Internal Scrap Review analysis with application of reduction methodologies.
7. Conducting quality spot-checks within the production department.
8. To undertake any other training/education identified by the company for career progression.
Key Skills and Qualifications Required:
1. Experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role that adheres to the ISO standards.
2. Previous proven experience and/or extensive knowledge of operational governance and monitoring standards to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
3. Computer Literate (Microsoft Office/365/ Teams/ ERP systems).
4. Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at senior level.
5. High level of literacy and experience of report writing and action plans.
6. Self-motivated and driven to expect the highest standards.
7. Proficient in data handling and analysis.
8. Experience in inspection, including FAI.
9. Experience in planning and conducting supplier audits.
10. Experience in problem solving and investigation tools such as 8D, CAPA, 5-Whys, FMEA.
11. Ideally holds IPC620 qualification.
