Alepat Taylor is a proud family-owned bottling and canning company located in Preston. Operating since 1978, we specialize in manufacturing and the distribution of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
We are continuing to grow and expand and are seeking a team-oriented individual to take up the full-time position of Quality System Coordinator.
You must have a strong focus on quality and safety and be able to work as part of an effective team and also independently. A strong working knowledge of HACCP and strong communication skills with a dedication to get it right the first time whilst working closely and constructively with our customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and improve Alepat Taylor Food Safety and Quality program, ensuring compliance with SQF 9.0, Sedex, ACO Organic, Dept of Health, Client Standards, and HACCP, including annual HACCP reviews ensuring compliance at all times.
2. Manage internal QA audits, mock recalls, and traceability exercises ensuring corrective actions and program improvements are implemented effectively.
3. Manage and coordinate GMP Audits, Bag Audits, CCP Validations etc with the QA Team.
4. Provide training, site communications, and leadership to drive food safety awareness, employee engagement, and adherence to quality standards.
5. Manage external audit schedules; assist in preparing for and hosting audits and inspections; respond to audit findings and ensure effective, timely corrective actions.
6. Monitor quality system performance through tracking, trending, and reporting key metrics.
7. Support root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
8. Oversee quality documentation lifecycle and ensure accurate, timely updates.
9. Assist in risk assessments, validation protocols, and compliance reporting.
10. Maintain QC and lab testing protocols in collaboration with QA Officers/ Lab Technician.
11. Collaborate with teams across operations, production, and R&D who may have differing priorities or limited understanding of quality systems.
12. Serve as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding quality system-related matters, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
13. Track and monitor supplier performances including non-conformance management.
The successful candidate will have:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and/or related field.
2. Experience as a Certified Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor.
3. 2–4 years of experience in Quality systems management/development.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QMS software.
5. Strong understanding of quality system standards including SQF 9.0, ACO.
