As a Technician you will be responsible for efficiently and effectively assist in the quality assurance of quarrying and surfacing products. To conduct onsite and offsite materials testing and update electronic records. Key Responsibilities To test and sample aggregate, concrete, bituminous, unbound and earthworks materials including grading analysis, binder content and physical, chemical, and mechanical testing in a safe and efficient manner To conduct daily organoleptic checks for lab, production facilities and all stockpiles To maintain a safe and tidy workspace and ensure the efficient running of the laboratory To maintain quality standards by following Company and accrediting bodies quality procedures and protocol. To record sample details on test record sheets and laboratory software. To calibrate all testing equipment. To prepare for inspections from independent accrediting bodies To undertake daily laboratory equipment checks To investigate all material related complaints & provide suitable & sufficient feedback & evidence to support.
