Buyer – Artisan Brands
North London
£40,000 – £60,000 DOE
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Artisan Brands Buyer to join an expanding bakery brand based within their London Head office.
As the Brands Buyer, you will report into the Head of Buying and be responsible finding and nurturing new up and coming artisan brands ensuring products achieve both quality levels whist maintaining commercial targets.
Additional responsibilities will include:
* Manage the full the end-to-end procurement process including market research, competitive pricing, supplier selection and negotiation, contract implementation and supplier performance reviews.
* Dealing and resolving escalated supplier queries
* Responsible for managing the full brands category.
* Continually review contracts, and benchmark, tender, re-negotiate and execute contracts/agreements with suppliers to improve quality, service, and cost efficiency.
* Continually identifying new brands and monitoring success criteria to track departmental performance.
* Liaising with the various internal departments including Production, NPD, Finance, Technical, Sales and Operations teams to ensure a smooth running of the procurement processes.
* Analysing departmental figures & creating reports for the management team
* Presenting reports, figures, and key information to the Senior Management team
Key requirements for the role.
* Proven experience within a small brands environment
* Experience with fast paced, Retail / FMCG environment is essential.
* Knowledge of branded buying / procurement
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise & influence effectively at all levels.
* Strong attention to detail with an analytical approach.
* Excellent understanding of all MS Office products including advanced Excel.
