The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer (Full Stack) with strong Documentum expertise to join our team. As a Lead Engineer, you will provide technical leadership, assess the current system architecture, and drive improvements while mentoring the development team. The ideal candidate will have public sector consulting experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to challenge, guide, and support the team effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring best practices in software development and system architecture.
Documentum Expertise: Leverage Documentum to manage, store, and retrieve critical documents.
Full-Stack Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable applications using Java and Node.js on AWS.
Assessment & Strategy: Evaluate the current system, identify gaps, and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.
Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with public sector clients, product teams, and other technical stakeholders to align on project goals and delivery timelines.
CI/CD & Cloud Architecture: Implement AWS-based solutions and ensure robust, scalable, and secure cloud-based architectures.
Agile & DevOps Culture: Promote Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices to enhance team efficiency and software quality.
Requirements:
Lead Experience: Proven track record as a Lead Engineer in the public sector with the ability to assess team progress, drive performance, and implement best practices.
Documentum Expertise: Extensive experience working with Documentum, including its integration and administration.
Technical Stack: Strong hands-on experience with Java, Node.js, and AWS.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage with senior stakeholders, provide strategic direction, and challenge existing approaches where necessary.
Public Sector Consulting: Experience working on government or public sector projects, with an understanding of compliance and security requirements.
Cloud & DevOps: Experience designing and deploying AWS-based solutions and working in CI/CD environments.
Nice-to-Have:
* Experience with Microservices Architecture and API development.
* Knowledge of modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
* Familiarity with Terraform, Kubernetes, or Docker for infrastructure automation.
* Understanding of high-volume communication platforms and message-driven architectures.
