Salary: £30,000 with OTE £50,000

Are you a Business Development Executive with a background in Engineering looking for a varied new role within a rapidly growing, local market dominating company that offers an excellent remuneration package and pay and role progression? Working on a variety of overhead cranes and lifting equipment through various industries, they offer a varied line of work with progression and development at the heart of the company. This role will involve driving sales performance through a range of networking and marketing strategies, and securing the best business opportunities to increase profitability and promote growth within the company.
The successful candidate will be an articulate and emotive communicator able to maintain existing and build new customer relationships as well as having a keen eye for detail identifying market trends that provide business opportunities.

The Role:
1. Conducting market research to identify customers, market trends and competitors, as well as market demand, customer needs, and growth opportunities.
2. Staying updated on industry news, regulations, and advancements.
3. Following up on leads generated through channels such as trade shows, referrals, and marketing campaigns.
4. Building and nurturing relationships with new and existing customers, including site visits.
5. Collaborating with the sales team to develop tailored proposals and solutions for customers.
6. Negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with customers to secure new business opportunities.
7. Managing the sales pipeline by tracking leads, opportunities, and sales activities; monitoring progress against sales targets and objectives, adjusting strategies as needed.
8. Forecasting sales projections and preparing regular reports for review.
9. Following up post-sale to gather feedback, assess satisfaction levels, and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
10. Networking with industry peers, attending conferences, and participating in relevant events to expand professional networks.
The Person:
1. Proven experience in technical sales relating to engineering.
2. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth.
