We are working with an engineering business, located in Skipton, to secure the services of 2x Junior Estimators. The company is currently the UK market leader in their field and they are constantly looking to build on this success. The people in these roles will play a large part in the future success of the company.
The purpose of the role will be to provide cost estimates to clients looking to engage with their services. This is done by collating all relevant information for the client order, working with bespoke computer systems to put a price together, and communicating that back to the relevant people. You will find yourself liaising with a wide range of people, internally and externally, to provide the best possible service.
The real beauty of this role comes in the potential for development. One of the available positions is due to the company getting busier, the other is due to the person currently doing the role progressing into another position in the business. Not only are they getting busier and busier but they also like to look after their staff and provide development where they can. In fact, the person who now manages the office started in this same role 10 years ago.
To be considered for the role you will need to be able to demonstrate certain skills and abilities:
• Capable of using computers and having good skills with the Microsoft suite of software (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Be able to quickly learn new software and use it effectively
• Having a good level of customer service for both internal and external customers
• The ability to get on with a wide range of people
• Strong administration skills
• The ability to meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail, and consistency
