Benefits: 25 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays Contributory Pension (up to 9%) Enhanced maternity and paternity allowance Buy And Sell Holiday Free Life Insurance Cycle2work Scheme Attendance Reward Free use of onsite location gyms Ongoing Training and Development Role Details Role: Regional Building Surveyor Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £55,000pa, plus £3,500 car allowance As our Regional Building Surveyor, you will: Lead and manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure the delivery of high-quality maintenance services. Assist in the preparation of annual assets and maintenance budgets. Identity gaps in service delivery and procure, develop, negotiate, and administer contracts with facilities management contractors, ensuring clear scope of work, performance metrics, and service level agreements are in place. Coordinate and oversee the scheduling and specification of repairs and maintenance work across multiple retirement village locations, prioritising tasks based on urgency and impact on residents' well-being. Monitor and evaluate contractor performance and resolve contractual disputes and performance issues, escalating matters when necessary and enforcing contractual remedies as appropriate. Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify contractor compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and industry best practices. Manage contract budgets, review and approve invoices, and ensure cost-effective utilisation of resources across all locations. Our successful Regional Building Surveyor will be RICS qualified or demonstrate equivalent professional experience, and have proven experience in leading maintenance teams and managing facilities management contracts across multiple locations.
