Job summary We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed practice nurse to join our multidisciplinary team at Royton and Crompton Family Practice. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, is a team player and who has patient care at the centre of their daily work. We are looking for someone who has excellent knowledge of Primary Care to provide practice nursing services to the practice population and deliver care within the boundaries of their role. Main duties of the job The following are the core responsibilities of the practice nurse to carry out competently without direct supervision following practice protocols: Childhood immunisations General immunisations Cervical cytology Health promotion Chronic disease management Contraception and sexual health advice Home visits The ideal candidate will: Be registered with the NMC Have at least 2 years experience working in a GP surgery Have up to date documentation and training, Be happy to undergo a DBS check Have a clean driving licence and be insured for business use Be confident in using Emis Web and Docman About us Royton & Crompton Family Practice is the largest GP practice within Oldham with approximately 21,700 patients.
