As a Consultant, R&D Tax Analysis, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and formatting clients' financial data to meet the standards required for senior management approval. Your ability to build strong relationships with clients and understand their industries will enhance the service we provide. You will prepare detailed report templates and compile relevant commercial information for directors' pitch meetings, ensuring effective communication with both external and internal stakeholders. Your expertise in R&D legislation will be applied to all claims, and you will calculate tax adjustments, presenting concise options to clients. Being commercially aware of company targets, you will contribute to delivering results as part of a cohesive team.
To be successful in this role, you should have at least one year of experience in an accounting position that involves regular use of Excel. You must be highly organized, with strong time management and prioritization skills, and possess a positive attitude and a cooperative nature. Your analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential, along with effective verbal and written communication abilities to liaise with diverse clients. Practical knowledge of Excel is crucial, and you should be in the early stages of studying towards a recognized Accountancy or Tax qualification or have a desire to start.
Responsibilities
* Gather, format, and analyse client’s financial data to a standard required for approval by the Senior Management team.
* Invest time in getting to know our clients and the industry to enhance the service we provide.
* Prepare report templates for each client and compile relevant commercial information for the Directors' pitch meetings.
* Communicate effectively with external and internal stakeholders to gather and provide feedback information.
* Develop a good working knowledge of the R&D legislation and apply this in your work on all claims.
* Calculate the tax adjustment as a result of the claim and subsequent client benefit, which could include multiple options a ‘tax planning’ way of thinking.
* Present options to the client concisely.
* Be commercially aware of company targets to help deliver results for the Company as a team.
Requirements
* Minimum of 1 year experience working in an accounting role that involves regular Excel use.
* Highly organised individual with effective time management and prioritisation skills.
* Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
* Works cooperatively with others and is approachable.
* Ability to demonstrate a high level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise with a variety of diverse clients.
* Practical and well-used knowledge of Excel is essential.
* In the early stages of studying towards a recognised Accountancy or Tax qualification or has a desire to start.
