We are searching for a Pensions Manager who will be crucial in driving the implementation of key pension scheme changes for our public sector client. This role involves understanding complex legislative updates and working closely with affected individuals to ensure their pension arrangements are compliant, accurate, and up to date.
This is a fixed-term contract for two years, providing expert guidance during a pivotal time as the organisation addresses the impact of recent pension reforms affecting over 650 employees.
Responsibilities
* Gain a comprehensive understanding of recent pension scheme changes, including McCloud/Sargeant and Matthews 2nd Option Remedy processes
* Manage the end-to-end implementation of pension updates across the organisation
* Work with individual employees to review their entitlements and ensure they are enrolled on the correct pension scheme
* Coordinate and process backdated pension contributions where applicable, liaising with both the organisation and the individuals
* Oversee the distribution and accuracy of Annual Benefit Statements
* Support the Compensation Process for individuals affected by the pension changes
* Ensure compliance with all relevant public sector pension legislation and guidelines
* Act as the key point of contact between the organisation and external pension providers or regulatory bodies
* Maintain accurate documentation and reporting throughout the implementation process
* Provide ongoing advice and support to the internal HR and payroll teams regarding pension-related queries
