Assembler
Job Location: Ferndown Industrial Estate, Dorset
Job Type: Ongoing temporary contract
Salary: £12.00 per hour / £450 per week (Approx £392 per week after tax)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, ½ day finish on a Friday, Mon – Thurs 7.30am – 4pm & Fri 7.30am –
1pm
We have an requirement for a number of Assemblers for an immediate start for a local manufacturing company based in Ferndown.
This role will see you assembling large production machines that are used for various applications around the world.
These units arrive from the stores in kit form and need to be assembled as per customer requirements.
You will be working from drawings and using spanners, wrenches, socket sets, allen keys and screwdrivers.
This is mainly bench work where you will be building these products at a bench but the role will see you undertake a lot of lifting and shifting.
Experience required:
• Previous assembly, fitting or engineering experience within a production, manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Able to work from drawings or work instructions
• Good communication skills
• Good hand and eye coordination
• Ability to pick up new things quickly
• Can work independently with minimal supervision
• Good timekeeping and attendance
