We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join a well-run, ambitious and growing Regional Principle Contractor, based near Maidenhead in Berkshire.
The company is increasingly winning multi-disciplinary projects direct from clients, and as a result, they are keen to recruit an experienced Construction professional.
Projects are typically located across Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Wiltshire, and Buckinghamshire and are in the Light Industrial, Commercial, and Healthcare sectors with Project Values ranging from £250k up to £12 million.
Based out of the office near Maidenhead, and on sites, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and subsequently managing a broad range of construction and refurbishment projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Forging strong professional relationships with all stakeholders and acting as a client "Account Manager".
2. Leading and managing teams on numerous concurrent projects.
3. Developing Project Programs & Schedules of works.
4. Resource & material planning.
5. Procurement.
6. Assuring the management team operates safe Sites.
7. Ordering materials & plant in good time.
8. Delivering projects on time and to budget.
9. Coordinating with other Contractors.
10. Negotiating and Recording site variations.
11. Managing Project Budgets.
12. Recording details of any delays.
13. Updating project programs.
14. Troubleshooting on site.
15. Writing, reviewing, and amending RAMS.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Educated to a minimum HND in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Building Surveying.
2. Strong client and stakeholder engagement experience.
3. Ability to read and interpret design drawings.
4. Experience of writing, amending, and reviewing RAM’s.
5. Experience of managing multiple Site teams.
6. Experience of sourcing and procuring materials & plant.
7. Experience of keeping a site diary including recording variations.
8. Experience of seeing projects through to their conclusion.
9. Experience of monitoring Project Budgets.
10. Track record of dealing with subcontractors.
11. Valid CSCS and/or SMSTS.
