Who will I be supporting?
- A young lady who has learning disability, Smith Magenis Syndrome, ADHD, PTSD. Despite her diagnosis, the young lady has a good sense of humour, has a love for British comedy, listening to music, getting out and about in the community. Visiting the Stables due to her love of horses.
- It would be ideal that you come to this role already having good background in support work. Willing to engage and make a make a positive difference.
- This lady has a range of different activities she likes to do. She particularly enjoys doing arts and crafts, and dancing, bowling and visiting charity shops and anything Disney.
What will I be doing?
- You will be supporting to live safely in the community
- You will support in developing effective ways to communicate needs and to develop empathy for others
- You will support in understanding relationships and learning about and understanding lady's own health needs
- You will be supporting to increase her independent living skills, which includes meal preparation, medication administration, budgeting, cooking cleaning and laundry
- Support with all aspect of personal care
What shifts are available?
- Shifts patterns are: Varied, as well as having Sleep in and also Waking Night.
- We offer Full Time Hours; 37.5 hours a week.
- We provide support 7 days a week; shifts are on a 2:1 staffing basis
- Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance
