C# Software Developer Oldbury
My client, based in Oldbury, is looking to hire a software developer with experience in C# and a mix of web and back-end development, along with experience in Delphi.
This is a newly created role working for a close-knit team. Your role will include maintaining legacy Delphi systems and migrating these systems into more modern technologies such as C#, Blazor, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
This role will see you:
1. Design, development, and support of software to business requirements, specification standards, and quality.
2. Database administration duties including maintenance and design.
3. Producing documentation to the required standard and quality.
4. Supporting system integration testing, including input into test planning.
5. Successfully meeting agreed targets.
The IT Department provides information technology systems and support to all divisions within the business, and my client is looking for a skilled Software Developer to join and strengthen their existing team. This is a permanent full-time role assisting with the delivery of software for construction design and manufacturing systems.
The ideal candidate:
1. Would have a minimum of 3-4 years in the industry (preferably in manufacturing or construction design experience).
2. Have a minimum of 3-4 years programming experience including Delphi, Blazor, SQL Server, C#, .NET Framework, JavaScript, WPF, XAML, WVVM, ADO, ODBC, MS Access database, and MS Excel (Advanced).
3. Database development and design knowledge using SQL Server databases and stored procedures and functions.
4. Have good problem-solving skills - specifically to analyse and resolve software errors and data discrepancies.
5. Be computer literate, well-organised, professional, and able to work under pressure.
6. Be responsible for achieving objectives on own initiative, as well as part of a team.
7. Able to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and pay attention to detail.
8. Be able to communicate systems and software development to users at all levels.
This role is fully office-based and your hours are split over 4.5 days, so you will get every Friday afternoon off! In return for your skills, my client is offering a salary of up to £50,000 plus a generous benefits package.
