All about the role:
We’re seeking motivated and enthusiastic graduates, who’ve recently completed or are studying towards either a BSc or MSc in Geomatics and Mapping Sciences or Land Surveying, or a BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering to join Hollis.
Introducing an amazing opportunity for a Graduate Measured Surveyor. Join our well-established and expert teams and assist them in all aspects of Measurement Surveying. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the ongoing success and evolution of Hollis.
You’ll be enrolled onto our APC programme from the jump and start working towards chartership.
Your day to day:
1. Undertake measured survey instructions, whether in a lead capacity or assisting on larger instructions.
2. Ensure that all projects meet the necessary Company standards, such as quality, data management, and health and safety.
3. Liaise with senior members of the team to advise the most appropriate technology and the most efficient way to deliver projects.
4. Take responsibility for data, from its collection to final delivery, using the most appropriate technology and methodology to meet the project specification.
5. Meet target KPIs on work in progress management including hours into work.
6. Business Development and client care awareness.
7. Adhere to Health & Safety procedures.
8. Independence around your own continuous professional learning.
9. Respect company values and culture.
Your skills and experience:
1. Degree or MSc in Geomatics or Land Surveying (ideally with some work experience in a commercial property environment).
2. Excellent mathematical and technical skills.
3. Knowledge of Leica instrumentation, processing software (LSS, Cyclone, and Cloudworx) is desired but not essential.
4. Previous knowledge and experience of using MBS software (or similar on-site data capture software) is desirable but not essential.
5. Experienced user of AutoCAD.
6. Knowledge of Revit and use of scan data in a CAD environment.
7. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
8. Clean driving licence is desired but not essential.
