Role Description PhoreMost ® are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Laboratory Technician to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day to day running of our onsite laboratories, working in close collaboration with the Operations teams and our scientists. This a permanent f ull time position, however part time will also be considered. Who we are: We are a biotech company based in state-of-the-art laboratories at Unity Campus, Cambridgeshire, UK. PhoreMost is focussed on developing the next generation of small molecule Targeted Protein Degradation drugs within oncology and inflammatory diseases. We have developed proprietary high-throughput phenotypic screening technologies, SITESEEKER ® and GlueSEEKER ™ ( phoremost.com/science ), that exploit protein shape diversity to uncover novel targets within complex biological systems. These platforms are used to identify differentiated E3 ligases to drive degradation of therapeutic targets, and to systematically identify molecular glue degraders against unprecedented targets. Targets arising from these platforms are translated towards patient benefit by our in-house drug discovery team. Every application will be evaluated based on merit and without discrimination. Job roles and responsibilities Ensuring stocks of buffers, media and aliquots are always readily available for use. Aseptic aliquoting of reagents. General laboratory maintenance and housekeeping tasks including autoclaving and glass washing. Laboratory chemical and biological waste management (Cat 1 and Cat 2). Routine laboratory maintenance activities ensuring communal areas are clean and well stocked. Assisting the Operations Team to maintain laboratory consumable stocks, procurement, management of deliveries, Goods In, stock rotation and stock tracking. Assisting with equipment maintenance checks and troubleshooting Requirements Previous hands-on experience in a laboratory support role with an understanding of laboratory techniques. Experience in Tissue Culture laboratories (desirable but not essential). Experience working to Health and Safety standards. Team player with clear communication and proactive, collaborative approach. Be flexible in their approach to work whilst following written procedures. Have a working knowledge of computer software, e.g., MS Word, Excel. Educated to a minimum A level (or equivalent) standard or have suitable experience demonstrating the ability to learn and develop new techniques within the role.
