An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Communications and Events Officer at the Ineos Oxford Institute for antimicrobial resistance (IOI) based at the University of Oxford. The postholder will be responsible for developing and maintaining a wide range of communications content to showcase the impact of the IOI and its scientific programmes. The role will involve supporting the implementation and delivery of the IOI communications strategy. The successful candidate will create a wide range of science communications content and activities including writing and disseminating press releases about latest research, writing science spotlights on IOI’s researchers, updating the IOI website, and managing social media channels. They will also support the monitoring and evaluation of communications activity/campaign performance, using appropriate analytics and suggest ideas for improvements for future strategy. The IOI Communications and Events Office will support the planning and organisation of internal and external events including the annual IOI early career researcher conference. This post will report to the Head of Communications and Events and will liaise with numerous other staff across the wider University. You will be educated to degree Level (or equivalent professional experience) in STEM and have a passion for science communication. You must be able to demonstrable experience of science communications and engagement activities and have demonstrable experience of working with external stakeholders and communities. This is a fixed term position available on a full time basis.
