Job overview
An exciting vacancy has arisen for a registered nurse to work in the Medical Day (infusions) Unit which provides a 6 day service for ambulatory patients. We work closely with medicine, surgery, urology, haematology, rheumatology, endocrinology, oncology and gastroenterology implementing planned care and investigations in a nurse led outpatient setting.
This is a rare opportunity to work within a team that is constantly developing and expanding and hope your enthusiastic contribution will support us to expand and improve further.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside members of the MDT in the above specialities, whilst expanding your own knowledge and experience with clinical conditions and treatments.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role are carrying out assessment of patients, performing observations, venepuncture, cannulation, assisting with investigations and implementing planned care to provide holistic individualised care.
Working in a nurse-led environment we are important advocates for the patient and are involved in escalating concerns.
