Job summary The acute therapy service deliver a comprehensive therapy service to children with a wide range of conditions across inpatients and outpatients, utilizing a variety of interventions. This post will support the running of the acute therapy service through the completion of relevant administrative tasks, and assisting with clinical duties. The post holder will be an integral member of the Therapy team, assisting in the delivery, management and treatment of children referred to the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy service. The post holder will undertake a range of clinical and administrative duties, under the direction of the Head of Service and will be required to work flexibly to ensure the needs of the service are met. Main duties of the job Main duties will include: stock management, ordering, assisting in the delivery of therapy activities both on a 1:1 and group basis, assisting in the recording of data, and responding to queries. The staff member will have direct patient contact, and will liaise with patients and their carers via phone and face to face. They will update parents regarding clinic appointments/cancellations/amendments, and will be required to liaise with internal staff and external institutions.
