We have a position available for a part-time qualified early years practitioner within our small, homely early years setting. We have a strong focus on outdoor learning and have endless opportunities available to us within our country park setting where the children of all age groups enjoy daily outings.
This role is based in our under 2's age group; however, there may be scope to work in other age groups in the future.
Responsibilities:
1. Create and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children.
2. Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
3. Support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities.
4. Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents.
5. Collaborate with parents and other staff members to ensure the well-being of each child.
6. Maintain a clean and organised classroom environment.
7. Follow all health and safety regulations.
Skills:
1. Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
4. Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with young children.
5. Ability to adapt experiences and activities to meet the individual needs of each child.
6. Strong organisational skills to effectively manage playroom materials and resources.
7. Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators.
