Job Description
As a key member of our Corporate Communications Team, our Internal Communications and Events Coordinator is responsible for delivering a range of impactful activities that excite, engage and inform our ASOSers. You’ll have an eye for a story, enjoy building relationships across multiple teams, and be skilled at writing for internal stakeholders. You’ll also enjoy getting stuck in and supporting internal events. Whether it’s prepping product for showcases, adding content to our screens or making sure our events are catered for, you’re always there to ensure our events go without a hitch.
As Internal Communications and Events Coordinator, you’ll work right across the Corporate Communications team to drive efficiency, collaboration, connection and impact.
The Details
* Engage with ASOSers across various departments to identify and develop stories that highlight achievements, initiatives, and events
* Execute our key regular internal digital communications – including sending our weekly internal newsletter, diary invites and ASOS Viva Engage news stories
* Draft and curate compelling internal news stories for our weekly newsletter, ensuring alignment with ASOS’s values and behaviours
* Drive an integrated approach to engaging with our ASOSers across events and digital channels – owning a drumbeat of comms and content around each to get maximum value (including using Viva Engage)
* Utilise analytics tools and feedback from ASOSers to continuously assess engagement metrics and improve the internal communications process and content relevance
* Support the delivery of our annual programme of internal and external events
* Manage our team calendar
* Principal contact for team admin
* Coordinate with Events and Internal Comms suppliers including but not limited to onboarding new suppliers and raising PO and payments for current suppliers
* Network, create and maintain relationships with external contacts and industry experts to stay ahead of the trends, keeping our comms and events at the creative edge of the market
* Supporting our culture by championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.
Qualifications
About You
* A passion for internal communication and events, and a strong belief in the role that ASOSer engagement plays in driving our strategy and embedding organisational culture
* Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to craft engaging and clear content that resonate with our audience and enhances internal communications.
* Outstanding attention to detail and robust project management skills. Able to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time
* Strong ability to influence, collaborate and build robust relationships with stakeholders - internal (Marketing, Product, Tech etc.) and external (suppliers, brand partners etc)
* Experience in a comms and events role with experience in fashion, tech and/or online retail desirable
* Passion for, and knowledge of, ASOS
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
* Understanding of how digital communications and events can work together for maximum impact
* Creative eye – able to brief in and manage events and creative projects
* Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to interact with colleagues at all levels
