Depending on your experience you will join the team as a band 5 with the opportunity to join a competency-based training programme to progress you from a band 5 to a band 6 dietitian. For those with adequate post qualification experience working as a dietitian (not necessarily paediatrics) you will have the opportunity to join the team as a band 6 dietitian. Main duties of the job Band 5 or Band 6 with opportunity for Band 5-6 progression depending on experience. The job will be working within the paediatric dietetic team providing care to all children across Bradford allowing for opportunity to build close rapport with patients and provide continuity of care which is highly rewarding. Our consultants rate nutrition highly and value working with the paediatric dietitians and Bradford boasts specialist services for inborn errors in metabolism, paediatric diabetes, and a tertiary neonatal service. The successful applicant will be involved in providing training for 'B' and 'C' Placement Dietetic students. You may also be involved in the delivery of training and education sessions to other health professionals within the Trust and work alongside the colleagues to write and implement nutritional care procedures and guidelines. Work areas may change depending on service demand, so applicants do need to be flexible. The service is delivered across 2 hospital sites and being a car driver with access to a car is desirable.
