Flight Systems Engineer
Location: Prestwick
Pay: Up to £48,000 (DOE)
ARM has partnered with a large Aerospace client who is looking for an experienced Flight Systems Engineer to work out of their site based in Prestwick. We are looking for experience within various aerospace systems including Mechanical, Propulsion, Electrical, Avionics or Fluid Systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Producing and issuing systems engineering data to meet project requirements in line with agreed standards and procedures, whilst also maintaining quality, cost, and schedule adherence.
2. Liaising with other engineering and project areas in a collaborative environment to develop engineering solutions.
3. Performing engineering tasks dependent on the lifecycle phase which could include requirements development, system and equipment design and development, modeling and analysis, system integration, qualification and certification, and testing.
4. Writing of specifications, reports, and proposals.
5. Steering new systems development through the implementation of best practice systems lifecycle processes.
6. Working with customers to support delivered systems and resolve issues.
Experience Required:
1. Hold a Degree or equivalent experience or qualification in a relevant STEM subject (e.g. Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Physics/Maths/Science).
2. Demonstrable knowledge of the system engineering lifecycle with the ability to apply good systems engineering practices to your work.
3. Demonstrated experience in Mechanical, Propulsion, Electrical, Avionics, or Fluid Systems Engineering, preferably in an aerospace application.
4. Ability to effectively research system design data and apply it to complex problems.
