Anderson Knight are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on behalf of a client based in East Kilbride. The main function of this role is to operate our sub-contractor and sales ledgers and assist/oversee all other ledgers daily. Experience: Experience of sub-contractor ledger is highly desirable but not essential. Experience of payroll desirable but not essential Attention to detail is essential. Ability to communicate with staff at all levels across the business. Team player Strong time management and organizational skills Ability to multitask. Duties: Operate all aspects of sub-contractor ledger including processing of sub-contractor applications, verifying sub-contractors tax status with HMRC, certifying sub-contractor payment certificates. Ensure compliance with all HMRC rules around tax status of contractor certificates and payments. Reconcile purchase ledger and sub-contractor ledger statements. Prepare purchase ledger and sub-contractor payment runs. All aspects of sales ledger from billing to chasing payments if necessary Provide holiday cover for payroll if necessary.
