Role Purpose
This role requires an event professional with experience in event logistics planning and operations, taking responsibility for the planning of logistics, fleet management, asset planning & allocations to the operations team working alongside our operations team within our head office in Northamptonshire and on our operational sites.
Role Profile / Responsibilities
Fleet Management
* Oversee the management of EP Team’s fleet of vehicles, including the compliance of vehicles, servicing schedules and conditions of the vehicles for general wear and tear maintenance.
* Schedule and forecast the fleet resource and management to ensure the right amount of allocations are available for all departments, including cost control of hired/leased vehicles.
* Continuously review the optimisation of the fleet volumes versus the business need, including owned vehicles, leased vehicles and hired vehicles.
Warehouse / Asset Management
* Create an asset management system with sign in and out controls to account for all EP Team assets across all estates within EP Team, including to fully understand throughout the year where all equipment is held, including:
* Equipment
* Signage
* Uniform
* Radios
* Oversee and maintain the health and safety requirements within the warehouse area, ensuring weekly/monthly/quarterly compliance checks and tests are adhered to. Completing self-audits and reporting any non-compliant areas to the HR & Compliance Manager.
* Maintain the warehouse area and storage area for all assets/equipment.
Logistical / Operations Planning
* Work closely with Operations teams, Managers, and Coordinators to plan future requirements of allocations, ensuring there are sufficient resources available.
* Management of all suppliers within the logistics function to procure the best value for the business, identifying cost savings of all temporary leases and permanent purchases.
* Assist/Work alongside the Signage Manager with the planning and production of signage requirements.
* Work with individual Operations Managers to plan the build and break of event sites and, where appropriate, support with the onsite delivery.
* Support major event operations with a focus on staff welfare, service or zone management, whilst providing remote support to other venues.
* During the off season, proactively identify opportunities for the hire of equipment and vehicles to generate additional revenue.
Responsibilities of the role will evolve during the contract period.
Experience / Qualifications Required
* 2-3 years experience in logistical operations in Events or Traffic Management operations
* Experience in warehouse, inventory management, and fleet management operations
* CPCS A16, Lantra Awards Level 2, or NVQ Level 2 to operate a counterbalance forklift
* IOSH Managing Safely qualification
* Proven autonomous worker
* Project management experience from conception to delivery
* Good ability to use software systems
* Exceptional level of detail in all work
