Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Imaging Administration Assistant to join our Imaging Administration team based in Hemel Hempstead. You will join us on either a full/part-time, permanent basis, we will consider applications to work between 22.5 - 37.5 hours per weekand in return, you will receive a salary in the range of £23,000.00 - £25,000.00 FTE, DoE plus benefits. The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive imaging administration service to medical staff in the imaging department and other clinical team members in strict accordance with the Data Protection Act and Company Confidentiality Guidelines, ensuring all work is processed in a timely, efficient way. Main duties of the job To be responsible for the follow up, collation and presentation of diagnostic and therapeutic reports and subsequent filing (electronic or manual) in patients case notes. To receive and open Imaging Department mail, to action routine/non-routine and urgent correspondence and drawing the necessary items to the attention of the person concerned. Undertaking general administration duties of filing and file retrieval, photocopying, ordering supplies etc. when necessary. Posting signed letters/discs as required. To accurately open, maintain and close Imaging treatment cycles. To manage non attendees for imaging and inform the referring clinician. To take telephone calls and to take appropriate action as and when required. This will include passing on accurate messages to other staff. To communicate and book in accordance with turnaround times radiologists for scan reporting. To assist with the daily management and booking of Imaging clinic lists (NHS Lists) and booking of priority patients. To exercise initiative in dealing with enquiries from patients/relatives, general practitioners and individual departments both on the telephone and in person. Reassure patients waiting for appointments and Imaging results and take appropriate action where required. To act as part of a departmental team providing administrative services as necessary for colleagues in their absence. To take part in some clinical duties where possible.
