Our client provides low secure and rehabilitation services for up to 90 male patients and is rated Outstanding across all five CQC areas. Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Patient Care: Take full responsibility for the clinical care of patients, including ward rounds, risk assessments, and creating a therapeutic environment that supports recovery.
2. Responsible Clinician: Serve as the Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983), ensuring compliance with legal and clinical standards.
3. Service Development: Actively contribute to service strategies and participate in clinical governance initiatives, improving services and patient outcomes.
4. Leadership & Mentorship: Lead by example, offering guidance and mentorship to junior medical staff, encouraging their growth within the MDT.
5. Expert Care Delivery: Lead patient assessments, formulations, and treatment planning to ensure the best possible outcomes for each individual.
What We're Looking For:
1. CCT in Forensic Psychiatry or Rehabilitation Psychiatry (or equivalent qualification).
2. Extensive experience in forensic or rehabilitation psychiatry with a passion for patient-centred care.
3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and supervise junior staff.
4. A proactive approach to service development and clinical governance to drive innovation and quality.
